This beautiful & spacious gallery sits at the bottom of the Square in the heart of the famous Stannary town of Chagford on Dartmoor.
In the gallery you will see a large selection of the beautiful paintings of the well known Westcountry artist Eleanor Ludgate including some of her paintings of Provence together with the greener scenes of Devonshire. One room is dedicated to Eleanor's exquisitely detailed watercolours of flowers, birds, butterflies & insects & wildlife of Devon which she has been studying & painting for the past 30 years.
The gallery also exhibits the work of the well known Dartmoor artist David William Young who's detailed oil paintings capture it to perfection. Jonathan Walker who's amusing animals such as Foxes, Badgers, Hares etc all dressed in old clothes or hunting outfits never fail to make people laugh. Also Tim Major who's striking etchings of British Birds of Prey fit perfectly into the theme of the gallery.
Apart from paintings there are some beautiful Bronzes, Wood Turning, Pottery, Jewellery etc all made by Westcountry Artists.
